Tend & Tell only works if it is a joy — so this policy is written to be as generous as the product allows, and we hold to it uniformly for everyone, without exceptions in either direction. All purchases on tendandtell.app are processed securely by Stripe. Prices are in U.S. dollars, and shipping within the United States is included in the price of every printed book — nothing is added at checkout. Shipping outside the U.S. is available by arrangement before purchase.
A Founding Family purchase — any package that includes a printed First Planting book — may be refunded in full within 14 days of the date of purchase. During those fourteen days you have full access to everything your package includes, so you can decide with the real thing in your hands. To request a refund, email victoria@victoriaduerstock.com from the address you purchased with.
After the 14-day period, the purchase is non-refundable. By then your family's garden is open and in use, and our editorial time is being planned around your book. Each First Planting book is custom-made for one family and cannot be restocked or resold. If a refund is issued, your First Planting number is released and may be reassigned; numbers cannot be held for refunded purchases.
No refunds after the window does not mean no flexibility: your number and your book are yours, and if life interrupts, your book simply prints whenever your story is ready.
A new Gather Membership may be refunded in full within 14 days of purchase, with full access during the window. After the 14-day period, the membership year is non-refundable, though you may cancel renewal at any time and your access continues through the end of the period you paid for.
Your finished digital book remains yours to read and share forever, whether or not your membership renews.
Additional printed copies and gift orders are custom-printed for your family. An order may be canceled for a full refund before printing begins, and is non-refundable after. If a book arrives damaged or with a printing defect, contact us within 14 days of delivery and we will replace it at no cost — that is a promise, not a policy.
Standalone digital products (such as downloadable resources sold separately) carry a strict 7-day refund window from the date of purchase — a full, no-questions-asked refund within seven days, and no refund after, including if you decide you no longer need the product once the window has closed.
A tending session included in your package holds no separate refund value before it happens — it is covered by your package's refund terms above. Once your tending session has been delivered, the editorial time has been spent and that portion of the service is non-refundable. Sessions may be rescheduled freely with at least 24 hours' notice.
Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method through Stripe, typically within 5–10 business days depending on your bank. To request a refund, email victoria@victoriaduerstock.com with the name and email used at purchase.
